Review of The Bad Batch (2017) by Charles T — 30 Jun 2017
Just the right amount of quirky and surreal. Seeing Suki's defiance turn from a source of apathy to a strength of self sacrifice, especially in a place as bleak as this wasteland, is a real transformation to witness.
The characters are morally conflicted, the settings are strange, and the plot unfolds unpredictably. I was left wanting more. B+.
