Review of The Back-Up Plan (2010) by Valerie P — 19 Jun 2011
This film, about a woman who chooses artificial insemination when she cannot find the right partner, isn't bad as far as romcoms go. I warn you though, avoid the last two minutes, because they are completely unnecessary and only serve to bury the whole thing under a heaping helping of moldy cheese.
Apart from those last two minutes, the script is predictable, yet cute. The "single mom support group" scenes are far too stereotyped for the value of comedy, but... it is meant to be a comedy after all.
I don't see the guys loving this one, ladies. I'd save your pleading for a better quality chick flick if I were you.
