Review of The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer (1947) by Jennifer C — 12 Dec 2007
Daft title but a charming 1940s screwball comedy. Cary Grant and Myrna Loy show some great sexual chemistry; Shirley Temple is positively delightful as the "bobby-soxer"; and even Rudy Vallee is enjoyable in a variation of the "fast-talking, high-pants" male characters of the 30s and 40s.
A great movie that is marked by several *very funny* sequences, "The Bachelor" is a great movie, plain and simple.
