Review of The Babymakers (2012) by Joe A — 18 Sep 2012
Babymakers is yet another vulgar and crude comedy that forgets to include the comedy. Flick is an almost laugh less story of a young couple (Paul Schneider and Olivia Munn) trying to have a child but, when the husband's sperm count proves too low, he plans to rob a sperm bank where he donated 5 years earlier.
Every situation concerning sex, masturbation and male bodily fluids is presented here and none of it with any wit or cleverness. And all the cliche's of this kind of story are presented as well with equal lack of creativity.
All the cast give bland performances but, with director Jay Chandrasekhar's flat and uninspired direction and the weak script, that comes as no surprise. At least Olivia Munn displays some hotness to alleviate the boredom but, not nearly enough to make this worth the time.
Avoid unless you're a die hard Munn fan.
