Review of The Babadook (2014) by Adam M — 30 Oct 2015
One of the better in the horror genre as it blends the supernatural with the real horror of grief, loss, and the stress of poverty and single-parenthood. The acting is at times overdone to the point of being distracting, but overall it works with the descent into madness the film portrays.
The Babadook is only as real as you allow it to be - it is your own psychopathy.
