Review of The Babadook (2014) by Wyatt S — 11 Sep 2015
On top of being incredibly suspenseful and tense, allowing for subtlety to lead the fear, Kent's directorial debut plays a powerful message about the overwhelming nature of grief at the paramount of a tragedy, and eventually coming to live with said grief in a more controlled pace - it's the kind of horror movie that makes you ask philosophical questions after, leaving you with more than a $15 million bag of jump scares.
