Review of The Awful Truth (1937) by Kane T — 30 Mar 2010
A nice little screwball comedy...Cary Grant was good but his usual self, to me the standout was Irene Dunne. She is a quite a natural actress in era when leading ladies where far from that. The story is a little silly but watching the leads bicker is enjoyable nonetheless.
They just kept at each other whole film, and the comedy is quite funny I found myself chuckling now and then. It is no surprise that film was popular it is formulated to the tee, but that was the trend then (many could argue that's still the case today) but all and all a bit of fun and worth the watch...
