I have a new level of respect for Cary Grant, seeing him do screwball comedy quite well(and almost naturally!) and the added slapstick(who knew he was so agile?) The story premise was cute but I mostly thought it got tedious after a while, it was just the same-so he's gonna mess up her time, she's gonna mess up his date.

..etc. I laughed at a few well timed gags and really enjoyed GRant and Dunne's chemistry. outside of that, the plot was very loose and it showed, which I'm not surprised to hear it was mostly improvised.

its clear as day. And that end bit with the loud car radio gag that won't turn off and Dunne's fake drunken hijinks with the two officers/motorbikes was absolutely silly even for the rest of the movie.

If I was ever Cary Grant and had to witness that, I woulda kicked her off the bike into a nearby river. geez.
