Review of The Awakening (2011) by Johnny T — 17 Oct 2012
A very amazing performance by Rebecca Hall in another old school ghost story.
The film is very atmospheric with the cinematography, the fog and misty colors of the Britian landscapes, and the gothic feel of the boarding school.
Maybe more ghosts and scary imagery would have been a nice touch but the film alone is worth watching for Hall's acting.
The twist at the end is that last thing you'd expect as well.
