Review of The Aviator (2004) by Ben S — 29 Mar 2011
Scorsese delivers once again with this semi-biographical film of legendary aviator Howard Hughes. Visually great, settings are more than believable. A bit overlong for its purpose, but it's not tedious by any means.
Great acting, especially by Cate Blanchett who won the Oscar for her portrayal of Katherine Hepburn. Doesn't quite compare to some of Scorsese's other classics, but a mediocre film for Scorsese is still great compared to others.
