This was the second time Leonardo DiCaprio teamed with Martin Scorsese and just like the first time, it was excellent. Thing is, is DiCaprio becoming Scorsese's replacement for Robert DeNiro? Either way, DiCaprio's turn as the very intriguing Howard Hughes was very good.

I thought DiCaprio's East Texas drawl needed work but he had all of Hughes's idiosyncrasies and habits down to a pat. The person who really deserves credit was Cate Blanchett in her turn as Katharine Hepburn.

She sounded like Kate Hepburn and moved like her although I have to say that Blanchett is slightly more beautiful than Hepburn. Kate Beckinsale was good as Ava Gardner but once again, the underrated John C.

Reilly stole the scenes as the hardworking Noah Dietrich. It seems Reilly is always getting the second billing and he shows why his career has been filled with one excellent film after another, most of the reasons being his inclusion.

Definitely well done by Scorsese once again.
