Review of The Aviator (2004) by Amr M — 23 Jul 2012
I like how the movie portrait different aspects of the development of the American political life and how it wasn't much different from the so called "3rd world" countries at the time. That really shows how the WWII was the beginning of a new era of exploitation of the south or "3rd world".
Also, I like how the movie, indirectly, links between the industrial development and the liberation of cinema industry from the hand of state censorship..
It was so strange that no one psychiatrists appeared in the movie, although he had serious illness.. of course psychiatry in the first part of the 20th century wasn't such an established field but still people knew features of psychiatric illness ...
Finally, the movie is a bit long.. could be like 20 - 30 minutes shorter.. but still so attractive.
