Review of The Aviator (2004) by Graham M — 11 Sep 2012
Wonderful cast ensemble and lovely scenery and era clothing better an average film. although it deserved the oscars it won, plus more, it was dragged out a bit longer than necessary. leonardo dicaprio was slightly odd with trying to perfectly pitch the accent and almost making it.
he was very convincing as howard hughes, multi-millionaire movie maker and aviator. cate blanchett and kate beckinsale were unfortunately underused, blanchett more so, but performed their hearts out in their scenes.
cate blanchett's accent was a little unconvincing and laboured, but she still gave a tremendous go, and came out with thumbs up. alec baldwin and the senator (cant remember his name) were quite good aswell.
all round, a good film, but couldv'e been better, in my opinion. not great entertainment, but for any good film reviewer, it was good.
