Review of The Aviator (2004) by Ross B — 02 Aug 2013
An epic biopic of an iconic American. DiCaprio is stunning (and sometimes hard to watch) in his role as Howard Hughes and is supported by an all-star supporting cast, such as Blanchett and Alda. The cinematography is very well thought out, as Hughes would have liked it, and the score fits and entertains.
Scorsese directed a film very detailed and with so much depth, I wouldn't mind watching this (almost) three-hour film many more times.
