Review of The Aviator (2004) by Raji K — 27 Feb 2015
Martin Scorsese directs the Aviator which is the story of the American icon Howard Hughes. The film covers quite an array of his life from his interest in films, his passion for aviation, and the his rising battles with OCD.
The OCD elements are captured with quite detail starting with the size of his peas, to his isolation and phobias. The film at nearly 3 hours tells quite a bit, but still does not cover his whole life.
The film features a good supporting cast around DiCaprio, and you really get everything you should expect out of this film. Despite all this, I just thought the movie dragged on a bit, and was ready for this film to end.
