A film that showcases DiCaprio's and Scorcese's talent in equal measure .. Hughes spiraling descent into insanity is directed with perfect pace by Scorcese, and DiCaprio's depiction is authentic and relatable, drawing a well-defined and nuanced character that is always interesting to watch .
. per usual of Scorcese, the score and cinematography come together to add tremendous depth to the mood of the picture ..
