It's a mystery to me why fans got.
Bent out of shape by this stylish remake. True, Fiennes isn't John Steed; Uma's a wacked simulacrum for Emma Peel; and there are enough plot.

Somehow it works - AND delights! (Thanks for a wonderful birthday afternoon, Catharine!).
Sean Connery makes a wonderfully monomaniacal villain in his twilight years.
But it's the "look" of this version that won me over:
Buzzing metallic menaces, a blizzard-lashed Trafalgar Square, active weather patterns.
Captured in tiny globes! Just that scene where Steed and Peel are "walking" across water.
Makes it worth the price of.
Admission. PS: Look fast and see if you can spot the original John Steed: Patrick Macnee.
