Review of The Audrey Hepburn Story (2000) by Elliot R — 02 May 2008
While this film isn't in the same ballpark as other more meaty and recent biopics such as Ray or Walk the Line, to me it's still a decent effort by Jennifer Hewitt. I can't imagine anyone else in the role as she almost manages to capture the enchantment of Hepburn.
Unfortunately this film remains sweet and light without going into any real conflict or rejection so the drama remains light too. If, like me, you're an Audrey Hepburn admirer and are looking for light entertainment, this is worth watching.
It's not as bad as some of the naysayers will have you believe.
