Review of The Attack (2012) by Zachary S — 29 Jun 2013
A fantastically written and acted political thriller about the aftermath of a suicide bombing and a husband's crusade to find out why his wife was the one responsible. The fact that it (mostly) avoids taking sides and condemns the situation over there as a whole was very impressive, as was the pacing and cinematography.
The only 2 quips I had were that it felt a tad rushed in certain scenes and that main actor Ali Suliman could've emoted a little more in certain moments. Overall though, everything was very engrossing and the performances were spot on.
Highly recommended.
