Review of The Atomic Submarine (1959) by Eric C — 28 Jan 2008
I got this one bundled in the Monsters and Madman set of Criterion by recommendation I watched this one first. It sparked my imagination, just like Saturday cereals are meant to do. It has a short running time, which makes it a prime candidate for rainy days, or a change in pace.
Political undertones and allusions to Greek mythology are present as well as talks of atomic technology keep the movie a worthwhile viewing. Can't wait to see the bundled 'First man into space'!
