Review of The Atomic Cafe (1982) by Deana P — 02 Dec 2008
Some of the smartest film editing I've seen. They took old newsreel footage, and a solid helping of Military and Government Information reels from the 1940's and 50s, putting them together to form a frighteningly funny look at the most destructive force on the planet, using everything from "Enola Gay" to "Duck and Cover" -- a very rye and sardonic humor.
Makes me want to watch Dr. Strangelove again.
