Review of The Astronaut's Wife (1999) by Katie C — 29 Jan 2008
I love Johnny Depp with all of my heart, but I think that this movie did not suit him at all. I would've liked to see more of him and his character at the beginning, for a better contrast from good to bad; b/c it just showed them cuddling, then he left the next day.
They probably should have displayed a little more of his character to make the audience care about him. Johnny did an amazing job acting in this movie, though---he was really creepy [and oh, so good-looking hehe].
However, it was as if Johnny was too good for such a poorly written movie. And they kind of cheated us out of a good ending---I definitely think they could have handed us a better ending than the predictable one they fed us.
All in all, I gave Johnny three stars for [looking the way he did! lol] and for doing a great job acting in this movie :D.
