Review of The Assassination of Richard Nixon (2004) by Phil S — 22 May 2005
Yes it's been awhile since I posted. Not that I've stopped watching movies. Oh No. That'd never happen. The tiny cyborg gnomes inside my head would lose their work ethic without the precise wavelength of light given off by my television. That and I think the surround sound bass makes them think that the gods are angry at them. Silly cyborg gnomes.
In reality I actually forgot my password to this thing (since EVERYTHING possible on the internet wants you to create a password and login). So I just got around to figuring out how to change it and go through all that hassle business. I mean, thanks for the security, but it's just one more thing that I can be sure I will forget. Just like driving my grandma to get her liver transplant. I caught heck for that one, but did anyone thank me for getting her put back on the bottom of the list? Nooooooo.
On to the new review! Saw the Assassination of Dick Nixon. Another fine Penn performance in my book. Kinda reminded me of that older movie "Falling Down. Interesting look at Assassins. Which also reminded me a bit of Steven Sondheim's musical "Assassins." Strange I know. A movie about assassinations reminding me of a play called "Assassins." An interesting biography with a few cool quirks. Just not a movie that leaves you with the happiest of feelings. Not entirely depressing, but enough to wipe that smug smile off your Brady Bunch face. A good renter for one of those -pissed at the world- days.
NOW BACK TO MAKING DELICIOUS COOKIES CYBORG GNOMES!!
