Review of The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007) by Timothy G — 29 Sep 2012
A slow paced western that takes a long time to build up and reach its climax. Possibly too long, as it seems to drag. The last third of the movie is the most watchable part with Casey Affleck's performance coming to the forefront.
Brad Pitt plays Jesse James in a menacing but almost likeable manner, and overall Andrew Dominik has shot it beautifully.
