An amazing film. The direction is amazing, the cinematography by Roger Deakins is beautifull, the Warren Ellis/Nick Cave score is haunting, the acting flawless and the story, based on Ron Hansen's great book, is riiveting.
This movie has been compared to Malick's works, but I feel that the dialogues and character development on this film are richer than in any of Malick's films. I strongly suggest reading the book because the book chronicles f Ford's exploits after Jesse's assassination that the movie does not cover in the slightest.
The last part of the book is about 150 pages long and is entirerly devoted to ford's life after his crime.
