Absolutely brilliant film. The best film I have seen this year. A visual masterpiece, with a script that manages to be literate in tone, while also maintaining a strong emotional resonance. Brad Pitt again proves he actually can act, and Casey Affleck delivers a fine, nuanced performance. Equally impressive is Sam Rockwell, in a performance that could be lost here with so much coverage given to Pitt and Affleck.
There. I finally give a real review . Question though: I see Robert Duvall in the cast list, but don't remember him anywhere in the film, so where was he?
