Review of The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007) by Dan T — 26 Jan 2011
Steadily paced but never dragging. This was expertly shot with vivid imagery and approached the western in an original and awe inspiring manner. The film follows the obsessed Robert Ford as his yearning for acknowledgment from his child hood idol, the outlaw Jesse James, turns into envy and malice and ends in James' assassination.
