Review of The Asphalt Jungle (1950) by Whitney B — 06 Apr 2008
Sterling Hayden really wore on my nerves very quickly with his awful acting. Even by Noir standards, where certain actors can actually thrive, his acting was stilted and forced.
The rest of the film is pretty amazing though, despite some pacing issues. John Huston is quite an extraordinary filmmaker.
