I kind of love this film. Marilyn Monroe's first speaking role on film is quite a dirty little one, and rather unforgettable. The rest of the film is remarkably dark, and culminates into a sad, but shockingly gorgeous conclusion of urban insight and the reminder that in the words of the immortal Nicholas Ray, "We Can't Go Home Again.
