Review of The Asphalt Jungle (1950) by Ben H — 24 Feb 2012
Bona fide Huston classic. Expert use of noir style and notable as an early example of the 'perfect heist gone wrong' movie. Stirling Hayden is terrific. Wonderful use of slang without too much moralising, Marilyn and an underlying message about the corruption of modernity - what more could you want?
