Review of The Artist (2011) by Jarrett M — 24 Dec 2012
The Artist is a charming and interesting film that is in all respects a well made movie. I am however at a loss to understand why it has had such relentless praise heaped upon it. Perhaps because it is reminiscent of a more magical time in film making and Hollywood itself.
Kinda ironic considering the one of the film's central themes is letting go of the past and adapting to the future. Anyhow, an enjoyable film that is worth seeing, just don't be expecting to have your world changed.
