Review of The Artist (2011) by Micah F — 07 Apr 2013
The biggest reward about "The Artist" for me is that it transcends its obvious position as a tribute to an age of hollywood past and actually surpasses some of the classics it sought to honor.
Furthermore, the best legacy this marvelous movie could ever hope to leave is the very real probability that it too will become just as immortalized in history as the era it obviously loves so much. I love that era too, but what's more, I love "The Artist.
" As pretentious as some might claim it to be, it is a film that knows exactly what it wants to do and proceeds to do it to perfection. I dare anyone to find a single viable flaw within the confines of this amazing production.
It's quite simply a masterpiece through-and-through.
