Review of The Artist (2011) by Jessica K — 30 Dec 2013
I loved everything about this movie: the black and white, the story, the costumes, the characters, John Goodman, THE HOLLYWOODLAND SIGN, the music, the sound effects, the only speaking lines at the end, the title cards for the dialogue.
This whole movie was a love letter to the transitional period between the silent films and the talkies and it definitely shows with the amount of passion and research they but into this.
