Review of The Artist (2011) by Matthew D — 19 Mar 2013
The Artist, crowd-pleasing as it is nostalgic and joyous, mixes a variety of pleasure and nods to the old days to be perfection. If it wasn't silent, it wouldn't be as good. Intellectually written, Michel Hazanavicius is a genius film-maker if he wrote and directed this masterpiece.
