Review of The Artist (2011) by John Eric D — 28 Sep 2014
No wonder why this film is the Oscar pick. Not only it brings back the quiet act genre of films from the early 1900's, but its magical effect that this film has to offer. The quiet black and white picture with the tremendous background music just gives me the nostalgic chills of those early films from the 1930's.
Just to watch the story, it is just amazing on how sad this artist could be with the brilliant performance of Jean Dujardin. He is like the modern Clark Gable with that suave look, that charming smile, and he is just so perfect for this film.
Amazing cinematography, thinking it's time to celebrate the magic of The Artist. The best film of 2011.
