Astounding.
I wouldn't have believed a silent, black & white picture in the 21st century could gain any traction beyond the arthouse crowd, nor would I have believed anyone had the intestinal fortitude to produce such a picture, and yet here we are. The Artist is fantastic, both a beautiful homage to the past and a highly entertaining film in it's own right. If you are avoiding this because it deviates from what you are used to you, you are cheating yourself.
