I don't see what peoples big issue is with this movie. I thought it was refreshingly subtle compared to most Hollywood romance bullshit. The plot isn't very complicated, and sometimes is a little too convenient to be believable, but I thought the tone was very authentic.
This isn't movie about coming of age, or love overcoming adversity. Its a movie about those times when love is painful, even though everybody's just doing their best.
