Freddie Highmore has grown up. He's still cute, but his charms as a troubled teen come off as dull not adorable. Here he's also an artist - another enigma to the cinema. He's sorta sweet on Emma Roberts, and it takes him the full film to realize it.
Yawn. Pass the remote.
