Review of The Aristocrats (2005) by Grëg W — 17 Dec 2009
I had heard of the joke featured in this movie, but I didn't know they made a full documentary on it. apparently, the aristocrats joke is a legendary filthy comic masterpiece that has been passed down since the early 70's, and has made a name for itself solely through word of mouth.
this movie is about the history of the joke, and also many comedians' versions of the joke. the film features comedy legends such as billy connolly, don rickles, george carlin, phyllis diller, eric idle, dom irrera, michael mckean, robin williams, fred willard, harry shearer, rip taylor, gilbert gottfried, bob saget, and many many others telling their stories of how they heard the joke, what they put into it while telling it, and so on.
this film is definitely worth a watch for any comedy fans, especially those who are interested in the joke.
