It's okay, but too juvenile in the humor for my tastes. Basically Knotts and Conway were too cartoon-like for the film, not to mention all the other over the top shenanigans.
I liked Bixby and Clark, but their romance angle was lacking something major. The film needed to be longer to show they actually falling for each other, not to mention Bixby caring about the children. It just seemed to fake and sudden.
The kids were alright, but besides the little girl needing to be every other scene, we don't get much more story arcs from them.
Had it taken itself a little more seriously and developed the characters and story more, it could have maybe been something special.
