Review of The Apparition (2012) by Lori S — 01 Sep 2012

For getting 2% on here, I was expecting something much worse. Lots of the movie was recycled, generic horror movie crap, but there were some genuinely scary moments and I personally liked the main characters (not the cliche British researcher kid) but the main couple.

Their actions and dialogue struck me as genuine and sort of hit home, especially when they were shopping together in the beginning over a creepy techno track (which I definitely could have lived without).

The very end of the movie was actually sort of artsy and could possibly contain some sort of message about American consumer culture. I like horror movies in general so I guess I am biased but I thought it was worth a watch.
