Review of The Apostle (1997) by Bryan W — 16 Jan 2008
I love this under-rated movie. Robert Duvall becomes The Apostle. It doesn't even seem like acting. Great story of a proud preacher's fall from grace and his re-discovery of redemption. great performances all around, great southern culture running is part of the frame of this film.
Robert Duvall was nominated for This film but was robbed by the Academy. I can not recommend this movie enough. One of the best movies ever that no one saw.
