One of Billy Wilder's finest. romantic comedy, dark comedy, and poignant drama all balled into one. the cast is absolutely wonderful--from Lemmon and MacLaine right down to the Jewish doctor's wife next door.
an unusual but very well-written story executed with Wilder's usual flair for sharp, subtle wit and charm. terrific movie.
