The sad part is in some cases this is all too real. Lemmon makes a performance that may not be his best, however I can only wonder if it did happen to him in some manner by acting with the anguish and defeat of fixing a mess up all too normal today.
Wilder did excellent writing this time making a scenario that seems all too familiar by labeling who we are to one another in the game we do all play.
