Review of The Apartment (1960) by Patrick C — 19 Jun 2009
Superbly acted by both Lemon and MacLaine. However, perhaps billing it as a comedy is a bit much. The premise is excellent but is dragged out perhaps a bit too long. Sadly, many of the jokes haven't also weathered time well and require a certain understanding of the late 50's and early 60's.
Worth a watch but not as great as I had been led to believe.
