Possibly 2 years late, The Angry Birds movie is the first attempt (I believe) of converting a small phone application into a movie. Is it a masterpiece? No. Is it a good time? You betcha! The script was consistently witty, the characters were likeable and the animation was very detailed.
Sure the majority of the plot was pointless, but it's a kids film and if I enjoyed it, they will too.
