Review of The Angry Birds Movie (2016) by Guido S — 05 Jun 2016
A movie based off a mobile game without much of a story that was relevant in the late 00s. This seemed like a sure recipe for failure. Instead, it turns into one of the best video game movies, but that isn't saying a whole lot.
Red is a bird who has anger issues and has to go to anger management classes in order to pay for his crimes. Eventually some pigs sail into the island and throw parties while only Red is suspicious. Eventually the pigs steal all their eggs and then the movie turns into the game for a little bit.
Overall, it is enjoyable. Possibly a little more mature for the younger ones out there, but a lot of that will probably go over their heads like most animated movies. Not bad, the middle does seem to drag a little bit, but a solid movie.
