Review of The Angry Birds Movie (2016) by Vasco M — 25 Feb 2017

The Angry Birds movie was one of the best surprises of 2016 for me. It could have been the complete lack of expectations but the animation, character & set design, lighting, and dialogue quality had me reeling and constantly smiling at how entertained I was.

Unfortunately, despite its unshakable quality during the first half of the movie, it suffers a disappointing hit in quality regarding story development and gags more or less exactly from the point wherein toilet humour is (somewhat literally) introduced.

Despite its faults, this movie holds a special place in my heart for making me feel so very, very good.
