Finally! Just what we were waiting for, a full background story to Rovio Entertainment's highly addictive game, Angry Birds! We no longer have to keep ourselves up every night wondering why we were supposed to hate those exasperating green pigs. This movie justifies our urge to take these little piggies down!

$38 million on opening weekend! Directors Fergal Reilly, Clay Kayris and Writer Jon Vitti (The Simpsons Movie '2007' & Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakquel) made this movie entertaining and enjoyable. The movie takes place on a secluded peaceful island, known as Bird Island, where Red (voiced by Jason Sudeikis), is the most hated bird. Becoming angered by all of his surroundings, he releases his anger on anyone and anything that is near him. This bird has no filter and does not hold back! His implosive anger, built up by being neglected by his secluded community, gets him sentenced to anger management - where he meets other outcasts. Chuck (voiced by Josh Gad) a very peculiar rambunctious fowl, Bomb (voiced by Danny McBride - which could not have done a better job at giving him his explosive personality) a short fused ticking time bomb, and Terence (Grunted by Sean Penn - Seriously, he doesn't talk!) who presents a thunderous grunt and dodgeball-like appearance for intimidation.

When head pig Leonard (voiced by Bill Hader) drops anchor, he is welcomed by the benevolent island and its inhabitants. Red reveals the real reason for Leonard's unexpected arrival was to steal the island's eggs! Red turns to the only people that accept his anger for help, but Leonard and his drift of pigs successfully steal every egg on the island. Red isn't ready to give up, not without a fight!

The town has no choice but to turn to the bird that knows anger best, and they must learn to be angry if they want to ever see their unhatched eggs again! Red puts the birds through a boot camp where they learn new tactics and practice their angry faces for what is yet to come. "Ready, Aim, FIRE!!" These birds launch themselves into Swine Island like cannon balls using the slingshot that you get to experience in Rovio's mobile video game. Using their unique abilities, like Chuck's silver bullet speed or Bomb's explosivity, they enter battle royal and disfigure Piggy Island with every hit. Because no animated movie ends with the good guy losing, the birds fly through glass, wood and even stone buildings until they retrieve their eggs and get them home safely. The Anger Management class goes from island's most hated to island heros, it goes to show that being angry has its advantages.

Although this animated comedy is intended for small children, these tiny feathered creatures will have every person in the family laughing. If you spent hours playing the game on a 4 inch iphone, you'll enjoy the 1.5 hour long movie in 3D IMAX. These birds will have the entire family begging for more. Who says birds can't fly?
