Review of The Angry Birds Movie (2016) by Brendan G — 12 Jun 2016
This was much better than I expected. They put together an interesting story of how the eggs were stolen and why the birds use slingshots to fling themselves around. The jokes and funny scenes kept me smiling throughout the film and didn't allow the movie to drag on as I expected it would (they turned an app into a full-length movie; I expected to be bored at some point at least).
Although the take-away here is that anger and destroying things turns out to be the way to go in order to get what you want, there really wasn't any other way for them to go with the story. Just remind your kids it's a movie and not a life-lesson and you'll be fine.
